When deciding on a hotel to stay at in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, I just couldn’t make a decision. I browsed for days and weeks, but then I picked the perfect hotel for me. Hopefully this Jeddah Hilton Review will make your decision easier than mine.

If it does, you can book it here, or directly with Hilton.

Location & Getting Around

Of course you want to stay near Al-Balad (The Historic Distric)…But then you see The Red Sea Mall is north…Then you realize the prices are cheaper as you go more east into the city. There are endless variables when visting Jeddah that could throw you for a loop.

So I’ll make it very easy for you. Stay around the Corniche Road…because the waterfront is amazing. Bang…your decision is now made. Spend the money, you can always make more.

I primarily stay at Hyatt and Marriot properties (credit cards), but the Jeddah Hilton caught my attention. And I’m happy it did.

It truly felt like I was in the middle of everything I needed to see in Jeddah. Now this is not the most walkable city due to the heat and size, but being this close to the water led to a fantastic coastal breeze.

Everything is just a short Uber away, and I personally found the Uber prices to be excellent in Saudi Arabia.

The malls, the attractions, the historic areas, the coast…everything was in reach.

Checking In & First Impressions

The scale of the building hits you immediately when you arrive. It is a large property and the lobby reflects that. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in…Saudi hospitality is something that genuinely surprises most Western visitors and the Jeddah Hilton is no exception. I did not request a sea view but ended up with one anyway. Most rooms at the Jeddah Hilton come with a balcony which is one of the best features of staying here.

The Room

The room is comfortable, clean, and functional. You get a bed, a couch, a decent sized table, chairs, and a well equipped bathroom with everything you need. It is not the most modern room you will ever stay in but it is well maintained and spacious.

The balcony is the standout feature…I spent a lot of time out there just watching the Red Sea, which was my first time seeing it. The glass elevators overlooking the lobby are a nice touch too. When I walked in, I noticed an issue with the bathtub. I texted the front desk and someone was sent up immediately. Good service, no drama.

(I was being an idiot, the tub was fine).

The Pool

The outdoor pool is large and well maintained. I noticed plenty of families enjoying it during my stay. The beach club right outside the hotel gives you direct Red Sea access which is genuinely excellent for the price you are paying. Not many hotels at this price point put you this close to the water with this level of access.

The Red Sea is truly right there.

Food & Nearby Things

This is where the Jeddah Hilton location really shines. There is an Al Baik directly outside the hotel, you should go there ASAP. Check out my review here. There is also a small in-hotel shop for waters, snacks, and Saudi soft drinks. For dining beyond the hotel everything is a short Uber ride away.

The Corniche area has excellent restaurants and Jeddah as a city has a fantastic food scene that most visitors underestimate. No alcohol anywhere in the hotel or city that is just Saudi Arabia, not a Hilton specific thing. I also have a list of some things you can do on your trip to Jeddah.

Is the Jeddah Hilton Worth It?

For around $215 USD a night you get a Red Sea view, balcony, beach club access, a large pool, excellent location, and genuinely friendly service. It is not the most modern hotel in Jeddah and it is not trying to be…the Waldorf is literally next door if you want to spend $600 a night for that.

This is still a 5-star hotel though by the way…I saw a few Rolls Royce’s parked throughout the day (even though Saudi Arabia is not Dubai…yet)

What the Jeddah Hilton offers is solid mid-range accommodation in the best possible location in the city at a price that makes sense. I have no complaints. If you are visiting Jeddah and want a reliable, well located hotel without overpaying for luxury you do not need…book the Hilton, you will not regret it.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is the Jeddah Hilton on the beach? +
Yes - the Jeddah Hilton sits directly on the Al Hamra Corniche along the Red Sea. There is a beach club immediately outside the hotel with direct access to the waterfront. Most rooms have a balcony overlooking the Red Sea which is one of the best things about staying here.
How much does the Jeddah Hilton cost per night? +
Prices vary by season but expect to pay around 700 to 1,000 SAR ($185 to $265 USD) per night for a standard room. I paid 800 SAR ($215 USD) plus fees. For the location on the Corniche this represents good value - comparable hotels in the same area charge significantly more.

Yes - for the location and price it is a strong choice. The Red Sea views, beach club access, large pool, and friendly staff make it an easy recommendation for most travelers visiting Jeddah. It is not the most modern hotel in the city but it does not need to be at this price point. If you want ultra luxury the Waldorf is literally next door.
Where is the Jeddah Hilton located? +
The Jeddah Hilton is on the Al Hamra Corniche in north Jeddah right on the Red Sea waterfront. It is close to the famous Jeddah sign, the Floating Mosque, and major shopping malls. Historic Al Balad is a short Uber ride away. Everything you want to see in Jeddah is accessible from this location.
Does the Jeddah Hilton have a pool? +
Yes — there is a large outdoor pool at the Jeddah Hilton which is popular with families. The beach club outside the hotel also gives you direct access to the Red Sea if you prefer the open water. Both are available to hotel guests.
Is there alcohol at the Jeddah Hilton? +
No - alcohol is not available anywhere in Saudi Arabia including hotels. The Jeddah Hilton has a small in-room shop with waters, snacks, Saudi soft drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages. If you are used to having a drink at the end of the day this is something to be aware of before visiting Saudi Arabia generally.
